Halloween

First we had to choose our pumpkins! Oh, and hug them, of course. :)
There was an adorable pumpkin patch just up the street. We had planned a big excursion, but poor little Stephen was actually really sick. You can't tell though, can you?
We have a thing for hugging pumpkins.
And I have a thing for tiny pumpkins with curly stems!

Our pumpkin family!

That's the "eeeewwww" face. This is the first year we convinced him to actually stick his hand in there.
Yes, that is a hammer. And a screwdriver. The only way we could get into Stephen's zombie-gourd-pumpkin-thing.
Joe was very blase about the whole thing, of course!
This was also the first year little Stephen carved his OWN pumpkin!
Like our creepy creation? I did the cute one. Of course. Stephen did the zombie. And the brains.

A Grim Reaper and a ghost knight! This was actually for our church Halloween party. On the real Halloween, Joe decided his costume was...unnecessary? So he dressed in grey and went as a rock. :)
OH! And it was Joe's 5th birthday!! He got Ice Age 3, which he practically has memorized, and a toy backhoe, and picked a pumpkin pound cake. Yum. His favorite part was drawing faces on all of his balloons, of course! Although there are dark smears all over the carpet in their room now... dang.
